The country has a north-south extent that ranges from about 300 to 400 miles (480 to 640
km), and it stretches about 1,000 miles from west to east. Turkey is bounded on the
north by the Black Sea, on the northeast by Georgia and Armenia, on the east by
Azerbaijan and Iran, on the southeast by Iraq and Syria, on the southwest and west by
the Mediterranean Sea and the Aegean Sea, and on the northwest by Greece and Bulgaria.

Between July 2021 and July 2022, the exports of Turkey have increased by $1.43B (9.16%)
from $15.6B to $17B, while imports increased by $6.77B (34.1%) from $19.8B to $26.6B.
Exports from Turkey rose 2.8 percent from a year earlier to USD 21.3 billion in October
of 2022, preliminary estimates from the Trade Ministry showed. Considering the January
to October period of 2022, shipments increased by 15.4% to USD 209.5 billion.
