India - Malaysia Business and Cultural Council

GIBF and the Malaysian embassy in New Delhi embarked upon a mutual decision to strengthen bilateral trade between India and Malaysia. The GIBF team comprising of its Founder and Global President, Dr. Jitendra Joshi and Co-founder and Secretary General, Deepali Gadkari met the High Commissioner of Malaysia to India H.E. Dato’ Muzafar Shah Mustafa recently wherein they discussed about solidifying the trade and cultural relations between India and Malaysia. The GIBF team presented GIBF’s Honorary Membership memento to the ambassador, who assured the embassy’s complete support for GIBF’s initiatives to strengthen ties.

In June 2024 Malaysia exported MYR126B and imported MYR112B, resulting in a positive trade balance of MYR14.3B. Between June 2023 and June 2024 the exports of Malaysia have increased by MYR2.1B (1.69%) from MYR124B to MYR126B, while imports increased by MYR13.4B (13.6%) from MYR98.4B to MYR112B.
