Event Overview
The GIBF successfully organized the India-Nepal Economic Forum 2026 on 26th and 27th June at The
Pride Hotel in Pune. More than 100 business leaders, investors and entrepreneurs from India and
Nepal attended the event.
Charge d' Affaires of Nepal in India, H.E. Dr. Surendra Thapa, Mr. Tara Nath Adhikari Minister
(Economic), Embassy of Nepal, Mr. Rabindra Jung Thapa - Counsellor (Economic), and Mr. Manoj
Singh - 3rd Secretary (Political) other diplomats graced the event.
Day 1: 26th June – Industry Visits by Diplomats from Nepal Embassy
On June 26, 2026, diplomats from the Embassy of Nepal in India visited reputed industries in
Pune. They were in the city for the two-day event, India-Nepal Economic Forum 2026 organised by
Global India Business Forum (GIBF) – a leading international business chamber. The diplomats
included - Charge d' Affaires of Nepal in India, H.E. Dr. Surendra Thapa, Mr. Tara Nath
Adhikari, Minister (Economic), Mr. Rabindra Jung Thapa - Counsellor (Economic), and Mr. Manoj
Singh - 3rd Secretary (Political). Dr. Jitendra Joshi, Founder and Global President of Global
India Business Forum (GIBF), Ms. Deepali Gadkari - GIBF's Secretary General and Mr. Sanjay
Deshpande - Director Corporate Affairs, GIBF led the diplomats for the industrial visit.
Some of the industries included – Kesari Tours Pvt. Ltd. – a leading tour operator in Pune,
Everest Pharma - Manufacturer & Exporter of Herbal Products and Comsense - a tech company that
helps enterprises move from digital transformation to Agentic Transformation with data, AI, and
execution. Director of Kesari Tours Pvt. Ltd., Zelum Chaubal and her team interacted with the
Nepal embassy officials about their company and how they could mutually benefit from in-bound
and outbound tourism. The Everest Pharma team shared about their herbal products manufacturing,
third party contract manufacturing, product development and how the two countries could
collaborate for this sector. Biju Nambiar - Co-founder & Sales Director and Vineet Ladhania -
Co-founder & CFO of Comsense, while explaining about their company informed about their projects
in Dubai and Rwanda and how the Rwanda model could be replicated in Nepal.
Day 2: 27th June – Inauguration
India-Nepal Economic Forum 2026 was inaugurated 27th June at The Pride Hotel, Pune, by Charge d'
Affaires of Nepal in India, H.E. Dr. Surendra Thapa, Mr. Tara Nath Adhikari Minister (Economic),
Embassy of Nepal and other diplomats, Dr. Jitendra Joshi, Founder and Global President of Global
India Business Forum (GIBF) and GIBF's Secretary General Deepali Gadkari. National Anthem of
both the countries were played after the inauguration of the forum. The event started off after
lighting the ceremonial lamp by the diplomats, GIBF lead partner, Mr. Anand Kadam
(Proprietor-Director of Harsh Enterprise), Dr. Joshi and Ms. Gadkari. More than 100 business
leaders, investors and entrepreneurs from India and Nepal attended the event.
The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Joshi. Dr. Surendra Thapa and Mr. Tara Nath Adhikari
were felicitated by Dr. Jitendra Joshi, Founder and Global President of Global India Business
Forum (GIBF) and Secretary General Deepali Gadkari. Mr. Rabindra Jung Thapa - Counsellor
(Economic), and Mr. Manoj Singh - 3rd Secretary (Political) were felicitated by Mr. Abhishek
Joshi, GIBF's Global Director – Investment and Business Council and CEO of Abhi Group of
Companies.
Charge d' Affaires, H.E. Dr. Surendra Thapa, delivered the opening address He spoke about
India-Nepal bilateral relations and how trade between the two countries could be taken ahead.
Felicitation of Business Leaders
Charge d' Affaires of Nepal in India, H.E. Dr. Surendra Thapa and Mr. Tara Nath Adhikari -
Minister (Economic), Embassy of Nepal felicitated exceptional business leaders for leaving an
indelible mark in their respective sectors. The business leaders included - Mr. Anand Kadam,
Proprietor-Director of Harsh Enterprises and GIBF's Lead Partner, for his exceptional work in
his sector, Adv. Komal Salunkhe, Founder of Savali Foundation and GIBF's gold partner, Mr.
Viekas Abhyankar, Founder of Vaastu Wonders and Mr. Dineshkumar Gehlot, CEO & Founder-Director
of Healthcore Ventures Private Limited and Director Simran Gehlot.
Dr. Jitendra Joshi, Founder and Global President of Global India Business Forum (GIBF) and
GIBF's Secretary General Deepali Gadkari were also present on the dais.
TBT Magazine Inauguration
Special edition of The Business Tycoons magazine, titled India-Nepal Economic Forum 2026 –
Bridging Borders, Building Prosperity was inaugurated by Charge d' Affaires of Nepal in India,
Dr. Surendra Thapa, Mr. Tara Nath Adhikari Minister (Economic), Embassy of Nepal and other
diplomats, GIBF's lead partner Mr. Anand Kadam (Proprietor-Director of Harsh Enterprises), Dr.
