Event Overview
The 3rd Edition of India-LAC Trade and Investment Forum organised by Global India Business Forum (GIBF) – a leading international business chamber, with the support of MP Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) organized at Radisson Blu Hotel, Indore (MP) on June 5 and 6, 2026 saw a resounding success.

The event was inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr Mohan ji Yadav who presided as the Chief Guest. The Guests of Honour included Shri Tulsi Ram Silawat - Minister of Water Resources Department in the Madhya Pradesh State Government, Shri Shankar ji Lalwani, Member of Parliament - Lok Sabha, Shri Raghwendra Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary - Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Government of Madhya Pradesh, and diplomatic representatives of 15+ Latin American and Caribbean countries. Also present on the dais were Dr. Jitendra Joshi - Founder and Global President of GIBF; Secretary General - Deepali Gadkari; Global Director - Investment and Business Council, Mr. Abhishek Joshi, and the office bearers of MPIDC.

More than 300+ business leaders, MSMEs, exporters, importers, investors and other entrepreneurs registered their presence at the prestigious event.

Participating Countries
The participating countries were – Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, and others. Ambassadors, high commissioners and other diplomats represented their respective countries. For the first time in the history of Madhya Pradesh, such a magnanimous event was held with foreign diplomats and business delegates.

The diplomats included - H.E. Mr. Alberto A. Guani - Ambassador of Uruguay to India, H.E. Mr. Javier Manuel Paulinich - Ambassador of Peru to India, H.E. Mr. Dharamkumar Seeraj – High Commissioner of Guyana to India, H.E. Mr. Juan Carlos Marsán Aguilera – Ambassador of Cuba to India, H.E. Mr. Alonso Correa Miguel – Ambassador of Panama to India, H.E. Rubio Funes Guillermo - Ambassador of El Salvador to India, H.E. Mr. Omar Lisandro Castaneda Solares – Ambassador of Guatemala to India, H.E. Adolfo Garcia Estrada – Ambassador of Mexico to India, Ms. Sunaina Mohan – Chargé d'Affaires (Acting Ambassador) of Suriname to India, Mr. Lucas Valderrama – Senior Diplomat of Argentina to India, Mr. Roberto Papa – Agricultural Attaché of Brazil, Mr. Jorge Andres Loyola Castro - President of CAMINDIA, Chile, and Mr. Gerardo Rafael Giglio Machado – Second Secretary, Dominican Republic.

Day 1: 5th June – Exhibition and Networking over Dinner
As part of the event, an expo was organised on June 5 and 6, 2026 wherein several business showcased their products/services.

On 5th June, Ambassador of Uruguay to India and Dean of Group of Latin America and the Caribbean (GRULAC), H.E. Mr. Alberto Guani inaugurated the exhibition wherein stalls regarding various products/services across sectors were put up by several business houses, in the presence of the diplomatic community from 15+ nations, Dr. Jitendra Joshi, Founder and Global President of GIBF; Secretary General Deepali Gadkari, Global Director - Investment and Business Council, Mr. Abhishek Joshi, and the office bearers of MPIDC. The stalls saw several visitors on 5th and 6th June.

The evening of 5th June included networking over dinner wherein VIP delegates interacted with ambassadors and other diplomats for furthering trade relations between India and the LAC countries. A musical programme was also held by Vividha Baithak (Vividha Academy).

Day 2: Event inauguration, Panel Discussions, B2B & B2G meetings
The prestigious India-LAC Trade and Investment Forum began with the Indian National Anthem and Ganesh Vandana by Vividha Academy.

Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr Mohan ji Yadav, who was the Chief Guest, inaugurated the event by lighting the traditional lamp along with the Guests of Honour Shri Tulsi Ram Silawat - Minister of Water Resources Department in the Madhya Pradesh State Government, Shri Shankar ji Lalwani, Member of Parliament - Lok Sabha; Shri Raghwendra Kumar Singh - Principal Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Also present were ambassadors/high commissioners and other diplomats of 15+ LAC countries, Global President of GIBF, Dr. Jitendra Joshi, Secretary General Deepali Gadkari, Global Director - Investment and Business Council, Mr. Abhishek Joshi, and office bearers of MPIDC.
Dr. Joshi, Ms. Gadkari, and Mr. Abhishek Joshi felicitated the Chief Minister, the guests of honour and others including the ambassadors/high commissioners and other diplomats. Dr. Joshi delivered the inaugural address. H.E. Mr. Alberto Guani also delivered a special welcome speech regarding India-LAC bilateral relations - "Strengthening India–Latin America & Caribbean Partnerships: A Shared Vision for Trade, Investment and Sustainable Growth."

During his address, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr Mohan ji Yadav appreciated the efforts of GIBF and its Global President Dr. Jitendra Joshi for promoting bilateral trade between India and other countries. He welcomed the diplomatic community and business delegates to the enterprising city of Indore.

A special presentation was given by MPIDC - "Madhya Pradesh: The emerging investment gateway of Central India."

Felicitation of Outstanding Business Leaders
Business leaders, MSMEs and entrepreneurs were felicitated by the ambassadors, high commissioners and other diplomats for their exceptional work in their respective sectors in the presence of Dr.Joshi, Ms. Gadkari and MPIDC officials.

TBT magazine inauguration
Special edition of GIBF's mouthpiece – The Business Tycoons magazine, titled India-LAC Trade and Investment Forum – New Frontiers, was inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr Mohan ji Yadav, Shri Tulsi Ram Silawat - Minister of Water Resources Department in the Madhya Pradesh State Government, Shri Shankar ji Lalwani, Member of Parliament - Lok Sabha; Shri Raghwendra Kumar Singh - Principal Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Government of Madhya Pradesh., ambassadors/high commissioners and other diplomats of 15+ LAC countries, in the presence of Dr. Jitendra Joshi, Ms. Deepali Gadkari, Mr. Abhishek Joshi, MPIDC officials and other dignitaries. Country Presentations, Panel Discussions and Business Meetings
The diplomats gave insightful presentations on business opportunities in their respective countries. Panel Discussions including Ambassadors/Diplomats and two industry leaders as panellists were held in three sessions. The topics were - Unlocking New Trade Corridors Between India and Latin America & the Caribbean; Investment Opportunities in Manufacturing and Trading; and Future Partnerships in Agriculture, Energy, Technology & Sustainability. This was followed by a question and answer session wherein the delegates got their queries answered satisfactorily by the panellists.

As part of the event, B2B and B2G meetings were organised wherein businesspersons interacted with ambassadors/high commissioners and other diplomats, government representatives and fellow business leaders to expand their businesses in different countries.
