The Chinese Embassy delegation comprising Mr. Song Bo (Economic Counsellor), Mr. Zhang Zhe (Second Secretary), and Mr. Hou Yiming (Third Secretary) were officially welcomed by the GIBF leadership team led by General Deepali Gadkari.
The delegation's first engagement was a visit to the historic Aga Khan Palace, where they learned about its significance in India's freedom movement and admired its architectural beauty. This cultural visit aimed to foster mutual understanding and appreciation between the two nations.
The officials were warmly received by Dr. Jitendra Joshi, President – GIBF, along with the GIBF leadership team. The GIBF team escorted the officials for visits to industrial units at Nagar MIDC Road.
The visits saw meaningful interactions and fostered constructive dialogue on industrial collaboration, trade expansion, investment opportunities, and bilateral economic cooperation between India and China.
The GIBF team guided the Chinese Embassy officials to industrial units in the Chakan Industrial Area. The visits aimed at understanding Maharashtra's industrial ecosystem, specifically in Pune, and exploring avenues for bilateral trade, investment and technology collaboration between Indian and Chinese enterprises.
During the engagements, discussions focused on manufacturing, supply chains, innovation, MSME partnerships and investment facilitation, highlighting Pune's role as a major industrial and innovation hub.
The Chinese Embassy officials visited the GIBF Head Office at Baner. They were welcomed warmly by Dr. Jitendra Joshi Founder & Global President - GIBF, Deepali Gadkari Secretary-General - GIBF, Abhishek Joshi -Asian Regional Directors GIBF & CEO & Director Abhi Group Of Companies, Dhiraj Chhajed , Director at Abhi Impact Logistics and the entire team of GIBF and Abhi Group.
Dr. Jitendra Joshi highlighted the importance of the collaboration of two upcoming global superpowers in transforming the economic landscape of their respective countries and subsequently the globe as well.
Economic Counsellor, Mr. Song Bo, while seconding Dr. Jitendra Joshi opinion emphasized on the importance of working hand in hand for trade partnerships and economic collaboration for the benefit of both the nations. He appreciated GIBF's efforts in facilitating trade across borders.
Earlier the officials were felicitated with the traditional Puneri turban and shawls, and other mementoes. The Chinese officials also felicitated the GIBF leadership.
The interaction at the GIBF office underscored the importance of institutional platforms in fostering business-to-business dialogue, cross-border partnerships and economic diplomacy. It reflects growing interest in strengthening India–China commercial engagement at the sub-national and industry level, with GIBF positioned as a key facilitator for structured business cooperation.
