(JAMPRO) successfully conducted a webinar on Jamaica’s Agri-business Investment Opportunities on
February 19, 2025.
Agriculture being a key contributor to the country’s economy, contributing to jobs and foreign
exchange, this webinar was aimed at understanding the emerging opportunities of the agriculture
sector in Jamaica. Entrepreneurs, exporters, importers, investors, and industry experts from India,
Jamaica and other countries participated in the event.

Corporation introduced the webinar and shared about the potential investment
opportunities, prospects of export and import in the agriculture sector of Jamaica and
the procedures to conduct business. The presentations included extensive information and
practical tips for capitalizing on Jamaica's booming agriculture sector.

tax benefits and grants for agribusinesses, legal processes and trade policies, and also
that investors could navigate global markets through Jamaica. The webinar also saw some
business deals underway.
The representatives of JAMPRO and Jamaican business leaders invited their Indian
counterparts to Jamaica to better explore opportunities in the agriculture sector there.
