When asked about the social media blogger impact on the hospitality industry, one of the esteemed panelists, Mr. Sameer Singh, rightly pointed out that every single person visiting a restaurant is a social media blogger or influencer and that the online reputation of any chain of hotels is increasingly gaining importance to succeed in the intense competition that the industry offers. He also emphasized on the fact that it was important to “pay attention to an individual who has the power to influence other’s opinions” ... as millennials heavily rely on the experiences and opinions of their family and close friends before choosing a restaurant to dine in.
