Mr. Othmar Hardegger, the Consul General of Switzerland accepted the Honorary Membership of Global India Business Forum, in the presence of Dr. Jitendra Joshi, Global President, Ms. Deepali Gadkari, Global Coordinator, Mr. Abhishekh Joshi- Global Youth Coordinator and Bhakti Jamadagni. Realizing the strengths of Global India Business Forum and the Consulate of the Republic of Switzerland and conscious of the benefits to be derived by both organizations and its members through this mutual understanding, both parties will be associated with each other in mutual cooperation to facilitate mutual investment, trade and economic cooperation complimented by knowledge sharing, training, certification and networking.

ABOUT SWITZERLAND

Switzerland, officially called the Swiss Federation, is a country situated at the junction of Western, Central and Southern Europe. It is a federal republic and is composed of 26 cantons or the member states of the Swiss Federation, with the federal authorities based in Bern.Switzerland is a landlocked country because it shares its borders with other countries like Italy, France, Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein. It has a total area of 41,285 sq. km. and land area of 39,997 sq. km. The population of Switzerland currently stands at 86,54,622 and the federal city of the country is Bern. The largest cities and economic centers of Switzerland are Zurich, Geneva and Basel. These large cities are all home to some of the most prestigious organisations in the world such as the headquarters of FIFA, the second largest office of the UN and the main building of the Bank for International Settlements. The main international airports of Switzerland are located in these cities too.
