Kenya, also officially known as the Republic of Kenya, is a country located in Eastern Africa. The total land area of the country is 5,80,367 sq. km. and has a population of 5,37,71,296 as of 2020. The capital of Kenya is Nairobi, which also happens to be the largest city of the country. Mombasa, on the other hand, is the first capital and the oldest city of Kenya. Kenya shares its borders with countries like South Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, Uganda and Tanzania and is also surrounded by the Indian Ocean.The official languages of the country are English and Swahili and Kenya is also a presidential representative democratic republic. The country is also a member of the UN, Commonwealth of Nations, World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, COMESA, International Criminal Court, etc. Nairobi is also a major commercial hub. The currency of Kenya is Kenyan Shilling and the religion practiced by a major part of the population is Christianity.
