India - Iran Business and Cultural Council

The Global India Business Forum (GIBF) - an international business chamber, met the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of India, H.E. Dr. Iraj Elahi and Commercial Attache, Dr. Hossein Bamiri, on November 20, 2024 when they discussed on collaboration for better trade relations.
On behalf of GIBF, Founder and Global President of GIBF, Dr. Jitendra Joshi and Co-founder and Secretary General Deepali Gadkari explained about GIBF’s objectives and initiatives with the ambassador. H.E. Dr. Iraj Elahi, Dr. Hossein Bamiri and the GIBF team discussed about strengthening the economic ties further through greater collaboration between the two countries.
The GIBF team also explained how the India-Iran Business and Cultural Councils, an initiative by the GIBF, could amplify relations between the two countries. The ambassador while appreciating GIBF’s efforts in promoting bilateral trade and investment opportunities between countries assured his embassy’s support to GIBF.
The GIBF team also presented the Honorary Membership memento and brochure to the high commissioner.

Iran, also called Persia, is a country situated in Western Asia and is bordered by countries like Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Turkey and Iraq. It is also a major regional and middle power and also has large deposits of fossil fuels which make it a country of international interest and Iran also exerts a major influence in international energy security and also on the world economy. Iran also has 22 UNESCO World Heritage Sites due to its rich history and culture.
