The Global India Business Forum (GIBF) organized a B2B Virtual and Networking Meet along with Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), West Pokot Chapter on January 24, 2025, to inform about on business opportunities in Kenya. Around 100 business leaders across various from India and Kenya attended the virtual meeting.

This is an important meeting for all businesspeople who want to do business in Kenya. We conduct many webinars and delegation visits. We welcome Kenyan and Indian businesspersons to this webinar, Dr. Joshi said.

Vaishali Badle, GIBF’s Director of Business Development delivered the opening note. Secretary General of GIBF, Deepali Gadkari welcomed the attendees and spoke about the webinar. Founder & Global President of GIBF Dr. Jitendra Joshi, in his welcome address said that Kenya is one of the best economies in Africa.
We have good political will, we have plenty of land and offer land incentives, we assist in procuring lease, title and whatever is needed. The National and County government gives lot of security to investors. We are going to involve all the community when the investors come here. The investors are going to be part of the community. The government is going to support with the machinery. The county government will give it to the investors when they come here, elaborated Ms. Claire and welcomed Indian business leaders to her country.
Ms. Claire Parklea, County Minister (CECM) In-charge of Trade, Industry, Energy, Investment and Co-operative Development, West Pokot County said that her government provided good support to investors.
Our vision is to build a prosperous business community. We have more than 800 business members including SMEs. We have a county investment policy so that investors know how to invest. We have a MoU with the County government, said he.
The County CEO, Mr. Enock Toroitich said that the Kenyan Chamber of Commerce was the umbrella of investment. He informed about investment opportunities in the agricultural sector, livestock, mining, logistics, hospitality and others.

We have natural resources, fertile land, strategic location, and are a growing market, added.

Business leaders who were present for the meeting introduced their business and expressed their desire to collaborate with their Kenyan counterparts.
Dr. Benson Ririmpoi, Chairman of Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry spoke about the opportunities in Kenya.
In the concluding remarks, Ms. Gadkari informed the attendees about GIBF’s upcoming outgoing delegation and GIBF membership benefits.
We will be taking a business delegation to Kenya from February 18-22, she informed.
