ABOUT KENYA

Kenya, also officially known as the Republic of Kenya, is a country located in Eastern Africa. The total land area of the country is 5,80,367 sq. km. and has a population of 5,37,71,296 as of 2020. The capital of Kenya is Nairobi, which also happens to be the largest city of the country. Mombasa, on the other hand, is the first capital and the oldest city of Kenya. Kenya shares its borders with countries like South Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, Uganda and Tanzania and is also surrounded by the Indian Ocean.The official languages of the country are English and Swahili and Kenya is also a presidential representative democratic republic. The top exports of Kenya are tea, coffee and petroleum products. Other items are textiles, tobacco, iron and steel products and cement. The main export partners of the country are the UK, the Netherlands, Uganda, Tanzania and the USA.

The top imports of Kenya are machinery and transportation equipment, petroleum products, motor vehicles, iron and steel, resins and plastics. The main import partners of the country are India, the UAE, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, the USA and Japan.
